Jungle Lore - Jim Corbett

Jim Corbett is one of my favourite writers. He usually writes books on his hunting experiences in India during the British rule.
Be it about following a maneater, recognizing the flora and fauna, or admiring nature, Jim superbly describes the environment which makes the reader imagine it close to reality. Unlike his usual books this one has more about jungle life rather than his hunting tales. He does venture into his usual stories of experiences with a tiger or a leapord, but here he additionally talks about how his vast experience about the jungle life helped him cope up against these untold dangers. He speaks about how the barking of a kakar or the call of a peafowl helped him recognize where the cheetah or tiger was approaching from and probably even saved his life.
